Last night, during Gamescom 2020, Microids released the first gameplay trailer for the remastered version of Asterix & Obelix XXL. Dubbed Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered! you can check out the gameplay below. The game is currently set to release on October 22nd.
Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered is a remastered version of the 2003 Action/Adventure game which release originally on Gameboy Advance, Nintendo Gamecube and PlayStation 2. This updated version includes remastered visuals and soundtrack along with the addition of reworked animations and brand new gameplay elements.
The game will also include four game modes:
- Parkour mode to challenge player’s agility
- Against the Hourglass mode for the speed lover Gauls
- Extreme mode for the bravest Gauls looking for a difficult challenge
- Retro mode allows players to switch between the original graphics and the new remastered version with a push of a button.
