During Microsoft’s Inside Xbox show more details were revealed on Project xCloud, including a public test planned for next month which you can sign up for.

Project xCloud allows players to play their favourite Xbox titles on your Android phone or tablet directly from the cloud over Wi-Fi or your mobile network. Here’s how you can sign-up:

  1. Visit the sign-up page
  2. Make sure you have an Android device version 6.0 or greater and Bluetooth version 4.0+
  3. Ensure you own a compatible Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth
  4. Your Wi-Fi connection must be 5GHz and mobile data connection at least 10Mbps down
  5. You’ll also need to install the Xbox Game Streaming App
  6. If you have the above, then great you need to fill out some details confirming you have this
  7. Sit and wait until you receive an email with the next steps. The first round of the tech test starts in October 2019, so good luck!

The test will only include a selected choice of 3 Xbox titles to try which are Gears of War 5, Sea of Thieves and Halo 5: Guardians. More will be added over time.

Don’t forget to leave your feedback as much as possible if you encounter any bugs to ensure on full release it runs smoothly.
