Maid of Sker

Cymru am byth!

Dripping in Welsh folklore, Maid of Sker takes inspiration from the haunting tales surrounding a Cistercian-built house, which just so happens to be a short journey from the Wales Interactive studio. Made famous by a Welsh ballad is the story of Elisabeth Williams, a tragic tale of a Welsh maiden who — in the 1800s — died of a broken heart after her father imprisoned her in her own room to stop her from marrying the man she loves.
