Dave has recently announced the arrival of the Firefighting Simulator: Ignite Summer Camp DLC. I reviewed the base game and couldn’t wait to dive into some new missions. I scored the original 80% and had high hopes that new content would add spark to the flame. However, 2 missions and some cosmetic items were not what I expected. Yet, I was happy to jump into my fire engine and tackle some blazes.
Astragon champion the simulation genre. I’ve tried and tested many of their games and I enjoy every one of them. Yes, there are bugs and glitches, but the action is solid, and I’ve lost many hours to different simulated roles. This DLC is no different! It adds drama, content, and depth to an already testing base game.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite Summer Camp DLC lets you explore Camp Woodchuck.
A cosy camp for teenagers should be a relaxing, fun, and safe space. However, when heat, oxygen, and fuel meet, trouble is just around the corner. Sadly, the teenagers are in danger as flames, heat, and smoke take control.
The firefighting team must work together to save the victims and prevent damage to every building. However, this is easier said than done, as things quickly get out of hand. You must control your team as they collect equipment, smash down doors, and douse fires.

Familiar mechanics.
If you have played the base game, you will know exactly what to expect. However, if you are jumping in fresh, you must overcome a challenging learning curve. Your team lack intelligence, and controlling them is a bit of a pain in the arse. However, once you get to grips with the madness, you’ll be barking orders, fighting fires, and saving every victim in your path.
Though it caused frustrations, I enjoyed every energetic mission and the large arsenal of equipment at my disposal. Firefighting Simulator: Ignite Summer Camp DLC didn’t add loads of context. However, it is fun, challenging, and dramatic. As such, it is perfect for adrenaline junkies and fans of the sim genre.
On top of this, it looks pretty good. The flames lick around buildings, and everything runs smoothly. Smoke billows, and your team move with fluidity. Consequently, it has a realistic edge that is appealing. The audio is just as good! Harsh ambient sounds add to the drama, and team orders ring out like a shrill and abrupt fire alarm.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite Summer Camp DLC is affordable.
Adding more content to your base game can be expensive. No one likes investing unnecessarily, and this title overcomes this with its affordable approach. Though there aren’t masses of new ideas or missions, it is still worthy of your money and time. Accordingly, I recommend buying it from the Xbox store!
