Revealed during IGN Fan Fest, astragon Entertainment and developer Simteract have officially announced Bus Simulator 27, the next flagship installment in the long-running simulation franchise.
Positioned as the most ambitious and content-rich entry in the series to date, Bus Simulator 27 significantly expands the scope of the formula with its largest licensed fleet ever, a new high-profile manufacturer partnership, and — for the first time in franchise history — fully playable coach buses and long-distance passenger routes.
The game is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.
The Biggest Fleet in Franchise History
Bus Simulator 27 will feature more than 45 officially licensed buses from 13 globally recognized manufacturers, marking the largest vehicle lineup the series has seen.
Returning partners include Mercedes-Benz, MAN Truck & Bus, IVECO BUS, Scania, and Volvo Buses, with additional brands to be revealed at a later date.
A major highlight is the new partnership with Polish manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach — a long-requested addition from the community. Confirmed models include the Urbino 9 LE electric, Urbino 12 electric, and Urbino 18 hydrogen.
Vehicle variety spans classic rigid and articulated buses, double-deckers, and electric models. Most notably, the introduction of coach buses represents the biggest gameplay shift in the franchise so far, enabling intercity and long-distance transport for the first time.
Felicia Bay and a Deeper Management Focus
The action unfolds in Felicia Bay, a fictional, sun-drenched region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula and coastal Spain. The map includes two cities and 20 districts, offering a broad urban and regional environment to explore.
Bus Simulator 27 leans further into the operator fantasy at the heart of the brand. Players are tasked with rebuilding trust in public transportation by growing a modern bus company from the ground up. Responsibilities go beyond driving and include:
-
Designing and optimizing routes
-
Managing timetables
-
Expanding and customizing fleets
-
Hiring and overseeing NPC drivers
-
Handling in-bus passenger events
-
Responding to traffic incidents, accidents, and heavy congestion
Players can step into different roles, including driver, inspector, and even passenger, while managing the broader business side of operations.

Modes, Multiplayer, and Modding
The game will offer three distinct modes:
-
Story Mode
-
Career Mode
-
Sandbox Mode
All modes are playable solo or in online co-op with up to four players, ensuring no one is left behind during company expansion.
On PC, Bus Simulator 27 will support modding via mod.io, allowing the community to expand the experience further. The game will also feature compatibility with popular steering wheels and gamepads.

Release Platforms
Bus Simulator 27 is set to release in the second half of 2026 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
Additional gameplay details and feature reveals are expected in the coming months as astragon and Simteract continue to showcase what they describe as the most strategically evolved Bus Simulator yet.
