Hey everyone! I’m Dave, also known as Mr Copperpot in the Xbox universe, and this is my corner where I share my gaming adventures, streaming vibes, and a peek behind the scenes at what keeps me hooked on Xbox life. If you’re into honest chat about games, community fun, and the wild ride that is juggling family and gaming — you’re in the right place.

In this post, I’m diving deep into what I’ve been playing lately, what’s been going on with my streams, and why the Xbox community we’re building means so much to me. So, grab your controller, settle in with a cuppa Essex tea, and let’s get started!

Indie Highlight – Samurai Blitz EX: The 5-Minute Frenzy That Steals Your Day

Let’s start with something close to my heart: Samurai Blitz EX.

This game is everything I love about arcade classics and modern design fused together. Imagine stepping into the pixelated shoes of a lightning-fast samurai, slicing and dicing through waves of demons with jaw-dropping combos and visually stunning Samurai Arts that make every screen pop. It’s fast. It’s brutal. And runs last just long enough to fit perfectly between your daily grind or work break.

What really seals the deal is the permanent progression system. Even if you get wrecked (and trust me, you will), every coin and skill you earn feeds into your character’s growth. So no run feels wasted — every defeat makes you stronger and hungrier for more. It’s the perfect kind of game that respects your time but slyly lures you into the classic “just one more run” trap. The addictive kind of trap we all love.

And guess what? The demo is out now on Steam, free for you to try. Seriously, check it out if you want to fall down a rabbit hole of pixel-perfect madness. Samurai Blitz EX Steam Demo

Behind the Scenes: Meet Case Portman, The Indie Wizard

Samurai Blitz EX wasn’t cooked up by a huge studio — it’s the passion project of Case Portman, a dedicated indie dev with over a decade of game development under his belt.

You might remember Case from the critically acclaimed Flynn: Son of Crimson (featured on Xbox Game Pass), and now he’s back at it, doing it all solo — pixel art, coding, music composition, and more. This kind of dedication is rare and it shines through in every frame and frame-rate drop of Samurai Blitz EX.

What I really admire about Case is his philosophy of player respect. He knows your time is precious and designs the game so it’s quick, intense, and rewarding without being punishingly grindy. It’s a love letter to old-school arcade fans and new players alike.

What’s On My Xbox? Here’s What Mr Copperpot Has Been Up To

Gaming is life, and here’s the current playlist keeping me busy — and loving every minute:

  • Rematch: A brand new, electrifying take on football! This isn’t your typical game — you play from a third-person perspective, getting right into the thick of the action with tackles, dribbles, shots, and all the iconic football moves. It’s all about skill and strategy; there are no player stats, so winning relies purely on your reflexes, coordination, and teamwork. Nonstop arcade-style action means no fouls, no offsides, and zero downtime. This game shines as an online team-based experience with sharp, fair gameplay, competitive leagues, and fresh seasonal content dropping new game modes and cosmetics to keep things exciting.

  • Sea of Thieves: Still loving the pirate life with my son and friends — hunting skeleton ships, chasing treasure, and occasionally surviving some epic player battles. While he’s all about raiding, I’m more focused on grinding loot and strategy, making every voyage an adventure.

  • The Division 2: Tactical squad-based firefights that offer a gripping world to dive into. Whether I’m solo or rolling with friends, this shooter keeps the tension and excitement high.

  • Grid Legends: This one blends high-octane racing with story-driven drama — perfect for those who want their motorsport with a narrative punch.

  • Forza Horizon 5: Exploring the vibrant and beautiful open roads of Mexico is always a blast. I’m all about drifting, racing, and soaking up that stunning scenery.

  • F1 25: The thrill of the Grand Prix is alive and well. Mastering the tracks, battling for pole position, and pushing the limits at breakneck speeds keeps the adrenaline flowing.

  • PGA 2K25: My go-to for some relaxing but challenging golf sessions. From scoring my first hole-in-one in our weekly golf society to perfecting those clutch putts, this game has quickly become a favourite.

Streaming Life: Essex Tea, Early Mornings, and Twitch Vibes

Streaming has become a great way to connect with the community and share my love for gaming. I’m live on Twitch at twitch.tv/xchestercopperpotx — swinging controllers, sipping Essex tea, and chatting with viewers who love to hang out and game together.

I keep things relaxed but lively, streaming regularly on weekend early mornings when the house is quiet — perfect for kicking off the day with some solid gameplay and friendly banter. Whether it’s racing, shooters, or just messing around with whatever’s caught my eye, the streams are all about fun, connection, and enjoying gaming at your own pace.

Why We’re Hyped at CompleteXbox: Community, Family, and The Games That Bring Us Together

One of the best things about being part of the CompleteXbox family is the sense of community. We host regular community nights every Monday and Thursday at 20:30 BST — a couple of prime times to jump in and game with friendly faces.

  • Monday nights are all about racing games from Game Pass or free-to-play titles on Xbox. It’s the perfect way to kick off the week with speed, skill, and some friendly rivalry.

  • Thursday nights open the genre doors — any game, as long as it’s on Game Pass or free-to-play. Whether it’s action, adventure, shooters, or something unexpected, it’s all about community and fun.

At CompleteXbox, we’re not just about gaming — we’re about building a family where every gamer feels welcome, supported, and inspired. The chats, the laughs, and those “just one more game” moments are what keep us coming back.

Wrapping It Up: The Life, The Games, The Community

So that’s a snapshot of what’s been lighting up my Xbox lately — from intense football matches in Rematch to high-speed races, epic pirate voyages, and cozy early morning streams fueled by Essex tea. The joy of gaming isn’t just in the games themselves but in the people you share it with, and that’s exactly what keeps me hooked.

Whether you’re a hardcore gamer, a casual player, or someone just dipping their toes in, there’s a place for you here. The journey’s always better with friends, and the CompleteXbox community is all about that shared passion.

Thanks for joining me in this little slice of my gaming life. If you want to chat, game, or just say hi on Twitch or Xbox, I’m always around. Let’s keep making great memories — one game, one stream, and one community night at a time.

Game on, friends!
