Delivery Driver Massacre tells the events of a driver that made a delivery at the wrong house. After dropping off a package to a suspicious house, the owner captures you and locks you in a room of the house’s basement. You’ll need to find useful items and solve a few puzzles all the while avoiding the murderer as you try to escape.
Delivery Driver Massacre is basically a cat and mouse game. It’s not as simple as leaving the basement and reaching the front door. Players will need to explore the killer’s house while trying to find useful items such as keys, screwdriver, crowbar; among others in other to find a way to escape the house.

The game itself is one big puzzle; you’ll find hints to figure out what to do next and the killer will be on your tail nonstop. Thankfully, you can run and hide in lockers found in the house. Each area of the house needs to be explore and each item is essential. Each item is properly highlight to give players a chance so no chance you’ll miss anything.
While you do have a health bar, it takes about four hits for you to die. Thankfully, you’ll find pain pills that will delay the inevitable. Another thing that makes things tense is the fact that you can only carry a handful of items so sometimes you’ll need to decide whether to drop the between pain pills or screwdriver. Thankfully, the items remain where you left them so you can pick them back up.

Delivery Driver Massacre looks great in all its blocky glory! It looks like a classic PS1 game and even offers, by the default, a classic VHS and CRT TV visual style to add another layer of tension of being chased around the house. Not much of a soundtrack here given the game relies on sounds which is absolutely well done. The title theme is as spooky as can be.
The game does have two main nuisances. The first one being the seemingly echo steps. While rummaging around the basement for a way out for example, sometimes you’ll hear footsteps in your vicinity. While you might think it’s the killer, it’s not, while a nice touch, it’s a bit annoying. Also the detection for picking up items is really spotty. Even when you’re not being chased, trying to pick up an item requires constant button mashing because the detection is far from perfect.

Delivery Driver Massacre is another great entry in the horror genre this year. It’s a simplistic, albeit quite tense experience that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to solve puzzles with a maniac lurking. Just be wary as picking up items is quite spotty so you might have to flee the killer and comeback to try to pick up whatever you’re looking for; it does feel even more problematic when the item is on the ground. If you’re looking for a bite-size horror experience, Delivery Driver Massacre is a must play.
