If you love social media, you’ve no doubt witnessed mobile games that look fun but simple. Fight for America falls into this category. With basic gameplay, colourful graphics, and larger-than-life action, it offers enough to keep you playing. However, it is very repetitive, and completionists may find their attention waning as they grind away.
QubicGames has developed this single-player strategy defence title. It follows a basic gameplay loop with limited depth. Subsequently, it is unbelievably casual and easy to master. This may disappoint players who wish to have a deep and meaningful experience. Instead, you enjoy short bursts of waved attacks.

Fight for America tells a doomed tale.
America has fallen, and a small pocket of resistance remains. The blue team cannot let the last state fall, or else hope is lost. Armed with a mobile base, a small firearm, and the ability to build limited towers, the hero must capture each of the fallen states.
The gameplay loop is understandably rudimentary. Effectively, there are waves of attacks that must be stopped. If they get to your base and destroy it, you’re in trouble. Consequently, you must spend your gold on new towers and upgrades.

Some tactical moments.
Much of the action is basic. However, Fight for America has some tactical elements. Gamers are encouraged to upgrade their weapons, towers, and player stats. The latter can be done once you level up. The progress is slow, but it keeps things balanced.
The towers are varied. You have Tesla towers, machine guns, and flamethrowers. Each has multiple layers of upgrades, and the further you progress, the more you need them. As such, you must plan, save, and get your infrastructure built to stay alive.
Finally, picking the right weapon, unlocking new tools, and upgrading them is the difference between success and failure. There is an array of guns, but the latter ones are essential as they tackle the harder foes with ease.

Fight for America is colourful and pleasant to look at.
Despite the basic approach, Fight for America looks great. I like the cartoon style and vibrant colours. Additionally, the animation is good, and everything is great to look at. Although it is clearly inspired by mobile games, there is a nice attention to detail. The audio is understated, but the sound effects are loud and in your face. Every gun makes your ears ring, and I like the odd, shrill noise.
The control system is refined and easy to master. Moving from point to point is a piece of cake. Furthermore, upgrading your equipment and building towers was straightforward. Therefore, it can be played by anyone. Taking over America takes a lot of time. Each wave lasts ages, and this can become tedious. Additionally, once you take back America, you’ll enjoy a surprise trip to Europe. Consequently, there is plenty of longevity if you can stomach it.
Fight for America is a repetitive but fun indie game.
I liked the simplicity, the colourful graphics, and the loud audio. Additionally, it is wonderfully casual and great to play between other titles. However, it is repetitive and a bit of a grind. Despite those issues, it is good, and you should get a copy from the Xbox store!
