There is something special about playing cooperatively with a friend or loved one. When you add in a free friend pass to complete the package, it makes everyone smile. It Takes Two and A Way Out are great examples of this genre. However, today I’m looking at a different beast altogether. LEGO Voyagers is a wholesome, enjoyable, and calm puzzle adventure.
Developed by Light Brick Studio, this cooperative-only experience tests your grey matter. Though there are some testing moments, it is the perfect game for a parent and child team. Alternatively, if you have some puzzle-loving youngsters, they should be able to tackle this with little guidance.

LEGO Voyagers tells a tale of togetherness.
I love a wholesome story. Luckily, LEGO Voyagers has this in abundance! The protagonists must learn to work together if they are to overcome their problems and explore their surroundings. This is easier said than done, as everything is against them. However, a strong work ethic and a methodical mindset help the pair to undertake a dreamy, once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
The core mechanics for this title are unbelievably simple. However, the puzzles and stage design ensure that you will be scratching your head more often than not. Moreover, you will enjoy many of the activities as you move from LEGO brick to LEGO brick.

Building bridges.
Many of the problems demand an eye for detail and a creative edge. Whether you must activate switches, twist platforms, move bricks, or navigate tight locations, this game has it all. Creating new walkways and manipulating moving parts was an interesting and fun experience. Each hero is free to do as they wish, but if they do not work in harmony, you will not get very far.
This is where LEGO Voyagers excels. Teamwork is at the fore, and anyone who fails to recognise this will not complete chapter one, let alone the game. Though this occasionally causes arguments, I enjoyed watching my kids put their differences aside as they solved every problem they faced.

LEGO Voyagers is great to look at.
Each chapter is made up of crazy building blocks and large structures. Moreover, there are hidden pathways and plenty of obstacles to identify. The interesting level design and wonderful colour palette are great to look at. Additionally, there were no bugs or frame rate issues to report. The audio is wholesome, calm, and enjoyable to listen to. Furthermore, the sound effects are basic but amusing. Pleasant ambient sounds fill the silence, and I liked the noise of the protagonists.
The control system was sometimes clumsy. However, once you get to grips with the basics, you’ll create new bridges and paths with ease. Additionally, moving between platforms and activating switches and platforms was a cinch. There are plenty of achievements to unlock and loads of chapters to experience. Though LEGO Voyagers is a relatively short game, it has some replay value and longevity. What’s more, I adored the safe action and the odd challenging moment.
LEGO Voyagers is a great game for family and friends.
This genre is perfect if you want to try something different. LEGO Voyagers adds a colourful, wholesome, and fun experience to an already much-loved selection of games. I adore the gentle pace and the interesting levels. My kids loved the puzzles and messing around on the moving platforms. Accordingly, it was a massive hit in my household, and I recommend grabbing a copy from the Xbox store!
