Most people run for the hills when they see a fire. However, a small band of brave individuals stand up and fights them whenever the chance arises. These heroic people also save kitties from trees and enjoy sleeping at work. Luckily, neither of these things happens when you tackle Firefighting Simulator Ignite.
This hellish endeavour will test your tactical nuance and friendships as you undertake countless dangerous missions. Furthermore, you will test your skills with real-life tools and accurately reconstructed vehicles. The result is an impressive simulation that’ll appeal to a wide audience.

Firefighting Simulator Ignite focuses on energy, fire, and little else.
Classic corny one-liners, beefy heroes, and hellish fires are par for the course. Moreover, danger is around every corner as you try to put out an array of deadly blazes. Though each quest has a repetitive edge, it matters not. You must think fast as buildings burn and victims’ lives are in your hands.
If you tackle this alone, you are teamed with 3 AI crewmates. Alternatively, you can crew up with your friends and work through every mission. Though I didn’t test the online action, this is where it will thrive. Unfortunately, the computer players are not the sharpest tools in the box, and this caused endless irritation.

Tackle each fire one flicker at a time.
Whether you are racing to a fire or grabbing your equipment, time is not on your side. Once you hit the scene, you must get to work immediately. Do you grab an axe and smash through windows, or do you jump on a ladder and tackle each hotspot? Either way, you must get each issue under control if you wish to succeed.
The equipment, fires, people, and objectives are impressive. Finding victims is a tough ask, and getting them out safely is harder still. Alongside this, you must grab the right tool for the job. Squirting water on a chemical fire is a no, no. Moreover, tackling a wood fire with foam will be ineffective. Consequently, you must learn to adapt to every scenario.

A repetitive loop.
Though I enjoyed the action, the gameplay loop is repetitive. Select a mission from the station and choose your settings. Once you arrive, you’ll bark some orders and the team gets to work. As your crew unravel hoses, you must search for electrical boxes, gas valves, and other key items.
If you fail to identify the source of each fire, you are likely to have a torrid time. Moreover, flashovers, crumbling buildings, and ever evolving traps must be considered. Consequently, every mission is exciting, but the core concept is unfortunately repetitive.
Firefighting Simulator Ignite is a little rough around the edges.
I liked the vast city, the interesting settings, and the varied buildings. Furthermore, the fire ebbs and flows as if it is alive. However, some textual issues deliver a rough and unpolished finish. Though this doesn’t affect the gameplay, it was uncomfortable to look at. The audio is a blend of orders, one-liners, and overbearing drama. Fires crackle, victims scream and shout, and your crewmates desperately explain their movements. The result is a wonderfully chaotic soundscape that works well.
The controls were mostly good. Instructing your team was relatively simple, and the UI was nicely stripped back. Unfortunately, there were a few questionable moments where your team refused to do what you requested. I believe this is a hitbox issue, as a little trial and error will get them to obey eventually. Replay value and longevity should improve with online multiplayer action. When this is tackled alone, you will play it casually. With friends, there is more scope for competition and friendly banter.
Firefighting Simulator Ignite ticks most boxes.
Though Firefighting Simulator Ignite could have been better polished, I like the core ideas and the varied missions. Moreover, there is some progression as you unlock new vehicles with slightly different tools. This adds depth and will keep people coming back for more. Undoubtedly, it is better with friends, but lone wolves can enjoy it regardless. Accordingly, I recommend taking a look at the Xbox Store.
