Save Christmas With Santa tells the story of none other than Santa Claus; unfortunately, Santa has been slacking this year and he needs to catch up. It’s Christmas Eve and jolly old Saint Nic has lost all the presents he needs to distribute so it’s up to you to help Santa find all the presents aheads of his yearly gift giving.
Save Christmas With Santa is a 3D platformer spread across 20 levels with a non-linear design. As you progress through the early levels, Santa will learn new tricks such as double jumping, running and dashing. When you start, you can only jump; the longer you hold the button, the higher you’ll jump.

Obviously running requires stamina, so you need to watch the meter so you don’t end up in a dire situation. Running can be helpful when wanting to go quickly and if you want to clear some longer jumps as it gives you a small boosts to jump as there’s a lot of platforming. Christmas trees act a checkpoints in each level.
In order to unlock the next level, you’ll need to collect every gifts hidden in the current level, which means you’ll need to pay attention at your surroundings and see if you haven’t missed a gift or a higher path. And obviously, it’s the North Pole, so platforms are slippery so you need to be mindful of your jumps.

The game looks fine; nothing inherently wrong in terms of the visuals. Each level is obviously Christmas themed and you’re surrounded by snow and ice. On the audio side of things, there’s… nothing. While there’s an annoying jingle playing when completing a level, when you walk around the levels, it’s all quiet. No music. Nothing.
The first nuisance is the fact that your shadow is barely, if at all, visible when jumping, so it makes trying to land on small platforms more difficult than it should. Also the lack of audio/soundtrack is baffling. Whether it’s just an isolated case or not (I watched Youtube videos to see if others had a score; they did), it’s kinda ruins the experience a bit. Also abrupt difficulty spike; level 3 feels like climbing the Eiffel Tower without stairs. Camera can also be your worst enemy.

Save Christmas With Santa is a by the book 3D platformer and there’s nothing really wrong with that. It just feels repetitive, boring while offering a decent challenge in terms of platforming, albeit for the wrong reasons at times. This game is clearly targetting kid gamers, but clearly not designed for them in terms of levels as they’ll ask you for your help often.
