Welcome to Snapshot! In a nutshell – Snapshot is a little feature that provides a snapshot of information on a game that we have checked out or have been playing recently. The article will feature screenshots, and a general overview of our opinion of the game without a review score.

If you know us well at Complete Xbox, you know we love a good brew, so we had to jump in and try out Coffee Talk since its now available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription (added on 16th August). If you’re into visual novels then save this one for a nice relaxing Sunday morning and grab a brew, because you’re most definitely in for a treat! Game Pass has seen the addition of many, more “niche” games into the service, with Coffee Talk being no exception here.

Coffee Talk Perfectly en-captures a civil coffee shop vibe with some great discussions going on between the patrons and where you pair this with the visual novels less grounded approach, makes for an interesting experience. You can find yourself caught up in a conversation between an Elf and a Succubus, about how their parents don’t approve of their ongoing relationship because they’re dating outside of their race or, carefully listening to a conversation between a AAA game developer and an indie developer starting out on her first game and the issues that come with being involved in AAA game development today. You might even find yourself having a chat and a coffee with an alien from a far away galaxy, or discussing the ethics and morality around a vampire using vegan blood, but you’ll have to throw the apron on and find out!

You’ll meet plenty of different characters during your time running your very own coffee shop and they’re all unique and interesting in their own way and have “real life human issues” despite the fact you’re dealing with Elfs, Vampires, Werewolves and even Aliens, they certainly don’t escape having to deal with the day to day hard ships that humanity faces. You’re running a coffee shop in a modern world you’d find familiar but surrounded by fantasy races. oh, and of course you’ll have to make patrons coffee on-top of conversation, too!

It’s available with your Xbox Game Pass/GP Ultimate subscription and has cloud play enable for ultimate subscribers. Alternatively this game is also available on Steam and has received long and short term overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans. This isn’t something I would personally usually play, let alone look for on the Xbox Store, but this is one of the reasons I realy enjoy having that Game Pass subscription, for hidden little gems like this one.

Grab a brew and enjoy!
