Publisher Aerosoft and developer Caipirinha Games have officially announced Road Construction Simulator, a new simulation game that puts players in total control of the road-building process from initial blueprint to final asphalt layer. The title is scheduled to launch on PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
Unlike traditional construction simulators that focus solely on vehicle operation, Road Construction Simulator grants players complete freedom over infrastructure planning. Virtual road builders can draw custom routes directly onto the game’s map and manage projects of varying scales—ranging from basic road renovations and rural farm tracks to full-scale federal highways.
Once a project is planned, players step into the cab to execute every stage of construction using a fleet of nine specialised, authentic vehicles:
-
Grader: Strips and prepares the base ground.
-
Binder Spreader & Dump Truck: Transport and distribute foundational materials.
-
Paver: Lays down the final road surface.
-
Milling Machine, Excavator, Tandem Roller, Roller Compactor, and Marker Machine: Handle preparation, compaction, and finishing touches.
The game features a central company headquarters where players can manage their fleet, customize vehicle paint schemes, and change work attire before heading out to job sites.
To cater to different playstyles, Road Construction Simulator offers two primary game modes:
-
Academy Mode: A structured, mission-based tutorial system designed to teach the fundamentals of planning, renovation, and vehicle operation.
-
Sandbox Mode: An open-ended mode that removes financial and structural constraints, allowing players to design and construct road networks freely.
A firm release date has not yet been announced, but store pages and the official reveal trailer are now live across major platforms.
