Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion Vampire character

Baldur’s Gate 3 devs Larian Studios has confirmed that they are working on mod support for the Xbox version of the game. The news came via Larian’s Michael Douse on X.

He tweeted:

“We generally don’t talk about things til they’re ready, but we’re making an exception,” Douse said on Twitter. “We’ve been working on a robust, cross-platform plan for mod support to be released later in [the] year.”

Before continuing:

“We have a system but it needs to be tested and still requires work. We’re excited about it. I understand that it suck’s when the game is updated and mods break. Our community teams will start talking with and looping in modding community. For now, work continues.”

Mod support on console games is becoming more commonly supported this generation, so the news will be welcomed by many Baldur’s Gate 3 players in terms of keeping the gameplay interesting.
