Deck13 Spotlight has officially announced Lair of the Leviathan, a new turn-based RPG designed to capture the spirit of classic PC role-playing games. Developed through a partnership between solo developers Nostalgic Realms and Whiskybarrel Studios, the game is set to launch on PC and consoles.

Inspired by foundational series like Ultima, Pools of Radiance, and early Baldur’s Gate entries, Lair of the Leviathan features handcrafted pixel art and an emphasis on traditional design. Rather than relying on modern quest markers or automated task lists, the game focuses on open exploration, party management, and tactical turn-based combat across detailed towns and dungeons.

The title was revealed during the announcement event for Drova II – Torn Lands—another retro-style RPG in Deck13’s publishing lineup—where key art by fantasy illustrator Matt Stawicki was also showcased.

Lair of the Leviathan is currently available to wishlist on Steam and GOG, with additional details expected in the coming months.
