One of the standout titles for this year has to Destiny, as the title has amassed 5 million more players since May, taking its total to 25 million.
Activision’s most recent earnings report revealed the latest totals, as well as revealing that players are spending 3 hours a day on the game. Destiny is also one of the most watched console games on Twitch, so even when you’re not playing, you’re watching it apparently.
Despite all this, Activision’s new revenue is down for year-on-year, with last year being $1.17 billion and this year’s only being $1.04 billion. That’s a profit of $158 million compared to last year’s $173 million. So nothing too major then?
