Yesterday afternoon, DICE revealed a brand new feature for Battlefield V called Airborne. Players will parachute in as seems to be standard for every multiplayer game just now, and are then tasked with destroying artillery or defending.
Say hello to Airborne: a new #Battlefield V mode where you'll parachute into the battlefield and work with your squad to destroy enemy artillery, or defend them and make sure the threat from above is dealt with. pic.twitter.com/Pw9j7isjFe

There’s not much else to go on, but it suggests it’ll be multiplayer and play a little like Rush. Battlefield has always been known for its large scale depictions of battles, usually with higher player counts than Fortnite and PUBG, so I’d expect somewhere between 32 and 64 player teams.
Another tweet also describes player progression via individual skill trees resulting in “specialised archetypes”. So a deeper more flexible system where players are unique individuals?

Keep an eye out for more details when E3 rolls around next week.
