Bethesda and id Software has shown off the first gameplay footage of its upcoming Doom reboot.
As expected, the footage contained plenty of blood and gore to feast your eyes upon.
The first set of action took place in a facility on Mars and showed some explosive shotgun-fuelled action. The game looks stunning and a lot of fans will have been longly awaiting this one.
id Software also showed some of the multiplayer, which looks to be a fast-paced arena style match.
There will also be a map editor called Snapmap, where fans will be able to create their own level designs to play on online.
Doom comes to Xbox One in spring 2016.
