EA has announced its plans to release new titles in the UK on a Thursday, instead of the usual Friday release day.

It is thought by giving the games an extra day in the shops, it will help physical sales to climb up the charts. Do you think this is a good idea?

In a statement from EA they said:

“Until now, players in the UK have had to wait until Friday for new EA games to release, one day after the rest of Europe. We realised that players wanted to be able to get in the game the same time as their friends across Europe and we’re happy to make this change.”

Do you think other publishers will follow?
