After all the leaks and hacks about the launch of season 5 for Fortnite, we finally have a solid date. In just over a fortnight (sorry, not sorry) – 12th July at 8am to be exact – season 5 will kick off.
Rumours suggest there will be a rocket launch and countdown timers can currently be found on the map but there are no other details about what will be included.
Starting 29th June and running through until Monday 2nd July, Epic will also be running a double XP event. If this weather keeps up, I’ll be outside playing on my Switch! It also gives me an excuse to try out the new dual pistols and LTM Playground mode which launched this week.
