Acclaim announced that GRIDbeat! is coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam digitally on March 26, 2026.

To celebrate the announcement, Acclaim has released a new deep dive gameplay trailer. Narrated by Jaime Bencia, Senior Producer at Ridiculous Games, the video offers an in-depth look at the various systems and mechanics that combine to create GRIDbeat!’s pitch-perfect blend of rhythm-based dungeon crawling, where players need to sync every action to the beat of a pulse-pounding soundtrack as they explore a neon-saturated virtual labyrinth and evade the system’s deadly defenses.

GRIDbeat! is built around rhythm as a core mechanic. Every movement, every pulse, every enemy encounter is powered by an electric soundtrack,” said Jaime Bencia. “We’re incredibly proud of what the RG team has accomplished and thrilled to finally share it with players. Our sincere thanks to Acclaim for their partnership and support in bringing this vision to life.

In GRIDbeat!, you assume the role of a hacker who just breached Knoss.OS, the planet’s most heavily fortified corporate network and made off with a payload of priceless data. Now trapped within the sprawling digital labyrinth of the Mainframe, every keystroke is a rhythm, every move a measure in a desperate dance for survival. Outmaneuver relentless security protocols, battle brutal military simulations, and fend off insidious, corrupting viral code… all programmed with one directive: to delete you forever.

Those wanting an early taste of what’s in store can download the GRIDbeat! demo on Steam today. Since its release, the demo has received unanimously positive reviews from players, praising its tight rhythm-based mechanics and high-energy presentation The demo lets players choose from one of nine hackers and test their skills and reflexes as they infiltrate 13 stages, including three Training Sim stages, six main campaign levels, and, for those really wanting to show off their hacking prowess, four unlockable challenge levels.

With three difficulty modes to choose from, this demo should serve as the perfect tool to help players hone their hacking skills ahead of delving into Knoss.OS in the full game when it launches on March 26.
