Developer 343 Industries has confirmed that Halo 5’s Forge mode will be bigger than ever, but won’t be available until December.

A post on Halo Waypoint from studio head Josh Holmes confirmed that 343 Industries will constantly update Forge mode with new features once it is released.

Some of the immediate changes from the previous Forge mode is the camera view, which can be freely positioned now to find the best view to make adjustments in. You’ll also be able to group objects together by merging them, so they behave as one object, which will make for some interesting maps in the community.

In total there are 1,600 objects so far, with new FX filters, invisible blockers and even a large whale. Let me guess, it sprays water?

There are also three maps specifically designed for Forge called Alpine, Glacier and Space. Yes, you guessed it, they’re set in different environments. Space is the most ambitious though, as it has no terrain and plenty of room.

Are you looking forward to seeing what the Halo Forge community can create?

  1. This is quite a good idea, especially as a lot of the other games seem to be doing exactly the same thing, like Mario and of course the ultimate Mine Craft, but of course this has been around since Halo 3, so it’s a Good call to bring it back, because it looks like people who play Halo do like this feature, and with the current Gen consoles, they levels are going to be on a scale we have never seen before, I think thats the best thing you can do, give your players a platform and see what they will create, not only do they enjoy themselves, but they also get to create something that someone else can play on who could live on the other side of the planet, and that’s what connects all of us!!!
