Bohemia Interactive has confirmed DayZ’s first new map in 5 years since launch titled Livonia, which will be arriving as paid DLC soon.

Livonia is a new region largely inspired by ARMA 3’s recently released Contact game expansion map. The new area adds 163km square of lush greenery from dense forests to large lakes and rivers. It also adds new wildlife such as bears, so move carefully through the woods.

If that’s not enough for you, there’ll also be a wet climate and thunder storms, which you’ll need the correct clothing and shelter to survive.

No release date has been provided yet for this, but it’s likely to come alongside the 1.06 game update.
