If you’ve exhausted The Division like me, then you’re probably eagerly awaiting news on the first free DLC which introduces Incursions. Well good news! Ubisoft has announced that they will arrive on April 12th.

Incursions are effectively an end-game activity which will be more difficult than replaying the missions on challenging difficulty. By completing them you’ll receive high end gear, hopefully which betters what you have currently.

Each Incursion will apparently require you to switch up your party of characters, so you’ll need to work together more so on these. The first one to arrive called Falcon Lost, is set in an underground water treatment facility, which has been turned into a base of operations for the LMB. Other points to note about Incursions is that there will be no respawns or checkpoints, so if your whole team wipes you have to start all over again. Are you ready for the challenge?

In April’s update there will also be new gear and four new set items: Sentry’s Call, Striker’s Battle Gear, Path of the Nomad, and Technician’s Authority, with each set designed to cater to specific play styles.

If you’ve been struggling on gaining Phoenix Credits, there will also be new assignments to complete each day, which are basically challenges for killing a certain number of enemies etc. You’ll also be rewarded Division Tech and “other rewards”, so it all sounds like it’s worth the extra hassle.

The update is all very exciting and if that wasn’t enough, there will also be gear boosting beyond your level, so items will level beyond character. Basically your gear score will judge whether you can play specific Incursions – think of it like a raid in an MMO.

The last addition will be player trading –  now you’ll be able to trade your loot with players in the world, which might open up a trade shop of sorts. In the Dark Zone however, this will only be available in the gate area. I guess that’s to avoid too much mayhem. Speaking of which, the Dark Zone will also keep players on their toes with random supply drops from the sky – Find the drop and get some new gear inside of them, but expect heavy resistance too.

Are you still playing The Division? What level have you reached in the Dark Zone? Let us know in the comments down below.
