Daedalic Entertainment and developer Quad Head have announced that their hit co-op cave adventure, Pratfall, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. Pre-orders for the console releases are expected to open in late 2026.

The news comes on the heels of major commercial milestone for the game. Since its initial debut on PC via Steam in April 2026, Pratfall has crossed 600,000 units sold—solidifying its status as one of the most successful German indie titles in recent memory after previously hitting 100,000 copies shortly after launch.

The upcoming console releases mark a key step in Daedalic Entertainment’s ongoing multiplatform expansion, reinforcing co-op titles as a core focus for the publisher. Under the partnership, Daedalic will oversee the entire console publishing process, collaborating directly with Leverkusen-based Quad Head across porting, quality assurance, platform certification, and marketing.

“Pratfall is one of those games whose appeal becomes clear within seconds, but whose emergent co-op chaos keeps creating stories long after,” said Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO and Founder at Daedalic Entertainment. “Quad Head has created one of the standout German indie success stories of recent years. The studio’s creativity, humor and close relationship with its community make this a perfect partnership.”

Daedalic COO Jonas Hüsges noted that the project aligns naturally with the company’s focus: “It is already a proven success on PC, it fits perfectly within our co-op publishing pillar, and its accessible controls and shared physics chaos feel right at home on console.”

Physics-Based Co-op Chaos Coming to All Platforms

In Pratfall, players descend through procedural cave systems in a lighthearted, physics-driven quest to find a lost dog. Gameplay centers around destructible terrain, interactive hazards, explosives, and gravity-defying mechanics where players must catch falling teammates to survive unexpected disasters.

The console editions will launch with full cross-play capabilities, allowing players across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 to join the same sessions seamlessly.

“Pratfall has always been at its best when people are laughing, shouting and desperately trying to save each other from a terrible fall,” said Tim Schroeder at Quad Head. “The response from the PC community surpassed everything we hoped for. Bringing the game to consoles is the natural next step, and Daedalic is the ideal partner to help us do it properly and bring players across all platforms together.”

Additional features for the console release will be revealed in the coming months as pre-orders approach in late 2026.
