3D Realms has confirmed its prequel to 2016 title Bombshell called Ion Maiden will launch next year.
Built upon the same engine that brought Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior to life, Ion Maiden has you play as protagonist Shelley as you pursue the evil mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel.
I got to say as a massive fan of the genre this looks like an incredible project, particularly having played the original Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem titles. It will also include more modern day additions such as headshot animations, physics and interactive levels.
You can expect to see Ion Maiden on Xbox One during Q2 2019.
