No More Room in Hell 2 will officially leave Early Access and launch as a full 1.0 release on 11th August 2026, with developer Torn Banner Studios confirming that the intense eight-player cooperative survival horror experience is also coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
In partnership with Green Man Gaming, the console release will bring the tactical zombie shooter to a wider audience, with full cross-play support across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation allowing players to team up regardless of platform.
Ahead of launch, the game is now available to pre-order on the Xbox Store with a 20% discount, while launch-day promotions will offer 35% off on Steam and the Epic Games Store and 20% off on Xbox and PlayStation stores from 11th August.
Torn Banner Studios says the launch version includes more than 8,000 community-driven bug fixes and performance improvements, alongside a wide range of quality-of-life upgrades designed to make the brutal co-op horror experience smoother for both new and returning players.
The update introduces improvements including:
- Improved UI systems
- Match reconnect functionality
- A new “Unstuck” option to help players recover during missions
- Redesigned difficulty tiers
- Better onboarding tools for new survivors
New Survival and Solo Modes Arrive
One of the biggest additions in the 1.0 update is the permanent arrival of Survival Mode, a new challenge designed to push teams to their limits.
Players must defend strategic speaker towers from increasingly dangerous waves of undead enemies while buying valuable time for civilian evacuations. The mode focuses on teamwork, resource management, and surviving against overwhelming odds.
For players wanting to learn the game without the pressure of permadeath, Solo Mode will also be introduced. This allows newcomers and experienced players to explore maps, practise mechanics, and prepare for the dangers of online co-op without the risk of losing their progress.
New training areas and reworked difficulty settings will also help new players get familiar with the game’s demanding survival systems.
“Reaching 1.0 is a monumental milestone for No More Room in Hell 2,” said Steve Piggott, CEO and Creative Director at Torn Banner Studios. “Throughout Early Access, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with our community to refine, polish, and expand the game into the ultimate high-stakes co-op horror experience.”
Console Players Join the Quarantine Zone
The Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions of No More Room in Hell 2 have been designed with feature parity in mind, meaning console players will have access to the same gameplay systems, survival mechanics, and achievements as PC players.
Full cross-play integration will combine players across all platforms into a single community, improving matchmaking times and allowing friends to survive together regardless of their chosen system.
“We are incredibly proud to support the debut console launch of No More Room in Hell 2,” said Chris Jones, EVP of Publishing at Green Man Gaming. “With this launch, we are thrilled to finally open the quarantine zone to console audiences and offer them a truly uncompromising survival horror challenge.”
