Ubisoft has announced Operation Dust Line for Rainbow Six Siege, a free update releasing May 11th for Xbox One.
The update will add new operators and a new map called The Border, as well as new gameplay improvements.
The news operators include the following:
- Valkyrie: Equipped with the “Black Eye” Gyro Cam Mk2, a quick deployment sticky camera that gives her team a new eye in the sky.
- Blackbeard: Carries the TARS Mk 0, Transparent Armored Rifle Shield with him to battle, increasing his mobile protection without diminishing his field of vision.
Gameplay improvements will include loadout customisation between rounds, so you’ll be able to switch out weapons, attachments and headgear between each round. A much requested feature by the community.
Also some operators have been changed such as I.Q.’s gadget having enhanced visual feedback, Montagne’s shield adding side protection and Tachanka’s LMG can be placed a lot on the ground quicker. Another slight change is the introduction of gadget cancellation, so you can cancel the placement of gadgets at any time by turning this on in the options for the game.
The final change is the team showcase feature, which will display an MVP to showcase the ultimate player in the match.
The patch is due out later this week and will grant the new operators instantly to Season Pass owners, otherwise you’ll need to unlock them with a lot of Renown points.
