Hi-Rez Studios, the studio behind Free-to-Play hero shooter Paladins: Champions of The Realm, have announced that they will be releasing their own take on the current Battlegrounds genre of games with Paladins: Battlegrounds.
Paladins: Battlegrounds will be a free to play add-on to the current Paladins title. The game has a similar outset to PUBG and Fortnite, 100 players will be placed on a large map and as the game time progresses a fog will decend onto the map forcing the play area and players to come together.
Where Paladins: Battlegrounds will make its own mark is that it is more focused on being team-based. Teams will need to rely on filling their squads with various Hero’s and abilities to succeed.
I have been a big fan of the Battlegrounds genre thus far, so I am looking forward to hearing more about this one in the future.
Paladins: Battlegrounds will be arriving on Xbox One in 2018.
