Publisher Gamera Games and developer Pollard Studio showed a new trailer of The Dark World: KARMA on Gamera Games Now TGS 2022 Special Show. The first-person horror game will launch in 2023 on PC via Steam, the developer also commited to bring the game to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The Dark World: KARMA is a narrative-driven psychological horror game developed with Unreal Engine. The story takes place in a fictional city which is tightly controlled by Leviathan, a giant corporation. You will play Roam investigation officer, step into this bizarre and dark world, find his lost memories and fulfill the duty.

In this trailer producer Heyong Wong introduced the main gameplay Roaming. Basically, players can enter others’ brains and reveal the truth buried under the memory fragments. Strange people with monitor heads, monsters with many hands, expressionless dolls… there are various weird and grotesque scenes in the game.

Meanwhile the narration also gives some rough ideas of the game’s worldview: memory, abyss that only chosen people can pass through, number looks like experimental products, pledge of allegiance for Leviathan corporation…

Previously The Dark World: KARMA aimed to launch in 2022, however the pandemic has had an impact on development. The good news is now Pollard Studio are “back on track” and plan to release the game in 2023. Follow the studio for latest news of the upcoming horror game.
