Publisher Deck13 Spotlight and solo developer David Schütze have revealed the release window for Crystals Of Irm, an upcoming retro-inspired RPG. The game is scheduled to launch in late 2026 – spanning the autumn “BER” months of September through December for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

A tribute to classic dungeon crawlers, Crystals Of Irm tasks players with leading a party of three heroes—a fighter, mage, and ranger- across a vast overworld map and dangerous first-person 3D dungeons. Their mission: recover three lost power crystals hidden within terrifying underground labyrinths.

Key Gameplay Features

  • Grid-Based Tactical Combat: The game blends turn-based nostalgia with fast-paced, movement-based grid combat. Position and agility are critical for unleashing spell combos, setting up attacks, and dodging bullet-hell style enemy attack patterns.

  • First-Person Exploration: Traverse a sprawling world map filled with unique towns, diverse NPCs, side quests, and classic first-person dungeon exploration.

  • Downtime and Minigames: Outside of combat, players can set up camp, cook meals, gather their party, and fish in local ponds across Irm.

Attendants at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, can play an updated demo of Crystals Of Irm at the Indie Arena Booth. The demo features both English and German language options.
