Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have officially launched Foundations, the third major expansion for their heavy-machinery construction simulation, RoadCraft. Available today for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the paid DLC expands the game’s core loop with new construction mechanics, two expansive maps, and a fleet of seven specialised vehicles.

The Foundations Expansion introduces deep structural mechanics that allow players to take projects beyond simple repairs and build entirely new infrastructure. Through the new Pile Driving system, operators prepare construction sites by securing concrete piles deep into the terrain. Players then utilise coordinated machinery through the Concrete Foundation Laying mechanics to pour and settle massive concrete foundations for large-scale building projects.

New Environments and Global Fleet

The expansion introduces two distinct 4km² operational maps. Spring Renewal challenges players within the distinctive landscapes of the Netherlands, while Oasis Delta moves the heavy machinery to the dry, demanding terrain of North Africa.

To handle these new environments and complex construction stages, seven specialised vehicles join the garage fleet:

The ALCES PL30C Tracked Pile Driver prepares foundation sites by driving heavy concrete piles into the ground. For concrete management, the Voltrack MX Concrete Mixer transports and supplies material directly to active sites, while the Voltrack Mk11 Concrete Pumper handles the precise pouring into prepared frames.

Material management and heavy logistics receive major upgrades as well. The EPEC MAG240 Magnetic Crane lifts and clears large units of metal debris and recyclable materials. For transport, the heavy-duty Derry Longhorn 4520 HH hauler features a widened trailer designed for moving oversized machinery and heavy equipment across long distances.

Field operations are backed by the compact Isonzo M1 Service Vehicle, which offers mobile support, recovery functions, and resource management directly on site. Finally, the Aramatsu R1 Asphalt Roller handles surface compaction and finishing work for major roadwork projects.

RoadCraft: Foundations Expansion is available now as a standalone paid DLC across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
