Indie developer and publisher FINJI (TUNIC, Night in the Woods, Overland) has announced that its upcoming third-person action-adventure, Usual June, will launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC on January 20, 2027. The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new trailer revealed during The MIX Showcase.

Set in the eerie town of Fen Harbor, the game tasks players with saving the city from a cataclysmic threat. To uncover the truth, players must bridge the gap between the living and the dead by leveraging physical clues from the living alongside the photographic memories of spirits, all while interacting with a colorful cast of over 25 characters.

The title features fast, fluid arena combat complete with dashes, parries, super moves, and customizable loadouts. As players level up and gain XP, they can unlock powerful new abilities, though each new power comes with a mysterious cost they must discover for themselves. Exploration plays a central role, taking players through secret labs, buried tunnels, haunted observatories, and a surreal otherworldly realm.

Usual June is led by Creative Director Adam Saltsman and brings together a veteran talent team, including BAFTA-winning writer Cara Ellison and BAFTA-winning audio director Adam Hay. In addition to its newly announced Xbox platforms, the game will also launch on PC and Mac via Steam.
