Developer, Embers, has released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming action-adventure title Strayed Lights

In Strayed Lights, players will take control of an unbalanced being of light and darkness as they embark on a journey towards awakening. Players will need to master the game’s innovative and challenging combat system, which the new gameplay trailer showcases. As players get to grips with the game’s combat, a tiny light will evolve in order to help soothe the souls of enemies who are tormented by their own inner demons. Players can parry enemy attached and if they do so correctly they will absorb their opponent’s energy and will then be able to utilise that energy in order to unleash powerful attacks that deal a high level of damage.

Strayed Lights will immerse players in a mystical and ruinous world, it features a non-dialogue-based narrative, hand-painted art style and meditative soundtrack which has been composed by Grammy Award winner Austin Wintory. Strayed Lights is also a PAX Rising Showcase 2023 inductee and will be featured on the PAX 2023 show floor later this month.

“Strayed Lights will be an unforgettable experience for action adventure fans of all ages when it releases across most modern gaming platforms in a few weeks,” says Alexandre Arramon, co-founder and creative director at Embers. “From a combat system designed to be easy-to-learn but challenging-to-master to an intricate universe based on emotions that everyone can feel connected to, we put our heart and soul into our first game. We’re all extremely proud of the outcome and can’t wait to share it with the world soon. In the meantime, we’re excited for fans to get their first hands-on time with the game at this year’s PAX East.”

Strayed Lights is set to launch on April 25th on Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles as well PS4, Switch and PC.
