PQube, Dual Effect and Abstract Digital Works are reviving the classic survival horror genre with Tormented Souls which will release sometime in 2021.
The newly announced horror title draws inspiration from classic survival horror titles such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Alone in the Dark. Tormented Souls is a modern take on the fixed-perspective adventure, with an improved control scheme and a more dynamic camera, while retaining everything that made those games adored by fans of the genre.
While investigating the disappearance of twin girls at Winterlake, something terrible happens to Caroline Walker as she wakes up in the middle of night, naked in a bathtub and hooked up to some decrepit medical equipment. She must fight for her life in order to escape the halls of an abandoned mansion turned hospital.
The game will push players to explore every nook and cranny in order to find anything that can be used to their advantage and also find items required to solve puzzles.
The developers plans on using mirrors in a unique way as they will provide Caroline with a path to an alternate reality and another place in time and thus can manipulate reality to her advantage,
