Tripearl Games (CEO Man-son Jeong) has announced its participation in the 2024 PlayX4 B2B at KINTEX in Ilsan from May 23rd to 26th.

Based on the philosophy of GameRight, which emphasizes “fun” as the core of games, Tripearl Games is an indie development studio founded by four co-founders in 2021. With over 20 years of game development experience, the co-founders, specializing in full 3D graphics, action genres, and PC & console-centric development and global service know-how, have worked on titles such as Little Devil Inside, Blade & Soul 1 & 2, Mu Legend, Sun Online, ArcheAge, and Geosang.

Tripearl Games, recognised for its high development capabilities through its first title, ‘V.E.D.A,’ secured two seed investments and a Pre-Series A investment. It has received acclaim as a leading game in the soul-like genre, praised by users and critics alike. The game was also highly anticipated at the 2023 G-STAR Indie Awards and received the ‘Most Anticipated Game Award.’ It has garnered attention from Yoshiaki Shiraishi, former president of Sony PlayStation and current head of PlayStation Indie Games.

Furthermore, V.E.D.A was selected as the ‘PlayStation Pick’ and ‘Top 3’ at the 17th Gyeonggi Game Audition, and it won the ‘Stove Indie Special Award’ at BIGS 2023. In 2023, it exhibited the most demonstrations at the Korean joint booth at the Tokyo Game Show.

Tripearl Games has been recognized for its technical prowess. It is rare for a game studio to be selected for TIPS (Government R&D Support Program) in the game industry.

V.E.D.A is a soul-like training game where players can learn the combat style of the soul-like genre. It combines growth elements of the roguelike genre to alleviate stress from death, allowing both soul-like fans and newcomers to enjoy the game.

Staying true to the fundamentals of soul-like combat, players can defeat enemies more easily through attacks, evasion, parrying, and the ultimate attack, Overclock. They can also develop their unique combat styles and enjoy diverse combat experiences.

The super AI V.E.D.A kindly guides players to become the top combat agent in the game. However, to become the best agent, players must undergo rigorous training programs and clear all chapters. The company recommends strategically overcoming constantly changing training situations by finding ‘modules,’ one of the various elements of the roguelike genre, to unlock new equipment and enhancement elements.

Tripearl Games stated that their main goal at this PlayX4 event is to showcase and introduce the gameplay experience of V.E.D.A to visitors and communicate with them. Through this, they aim to promote V.E.D.A, gather user feedback, and enhance the game’s completeness. They also aim to inform users of the upcoming release through Steam Wishlist registration and provide a channel for continuous communication with users.

Focusing on rapid growth and market expansion on the international stage, Tripearl Games plans to showcase a demo build at Bitsummit in July, allowing users to experience various gameplay through additional roguelike elements. Subsequently, in August, they plan to participate in Gamescom to target the European gaming market and introduce the game to diverse global users. In September, they will participate in the Tokyo Game Show in Japan to expand their presence in the Japanese market and increase the game’s popularity. Finally, in November, they plan to participate in G-STAR, a domestic game exhibition, to strengthen their relationship with users by unveiling a building close to the Early Access release.

The ‘2024 PlayX4 B2B,’ hosted by Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX, is themed ‘More Than Just the Joy of Gaming’ and features exhibitions and experiences of new games from Korean and international game companies. Visitors can enjoy side programs like the retro game market, esports competitions, and cosplay events.
