The Xbox Games Showcase was a big show for Obsidian. Not only did they get the chance to announce the first of two expansions that are coming to The Outer Worlds alongside there friends at Private Division, but they also got to show off a new trailer for Grounded, which releases into Xbox Game Preview, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam Early Access next week; and Avowed was announced– a new epic, first-person, triple-A RPG set in the fantasy world of Eora.
To start, we have The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon. The first expansion to arrive for The Outer Worlds, Peril on Gorgon expands the reaches of the Halcyon Colony. The DLC brings its employees more of what they love in the darkly humorous universe with a brand-new pulp-noir tinged adventure that takes players to the Gorgon Asteroid to investigate the mysterious origin of Adrena-Time. During your shift, you’ll find new Board approved weapons, armour, flaws, and the same freedom* to approach your problems that made the original game so rewarding. But that’s not all! The level cap is also increasing to level 33 to offer more ways to make your character your own with new perks and skills.

Peril on Gorgon will be available on September 9, 2020 for $14.99 or as a part of The Outer Worlds Expansion Pass which will get you both Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos for $24.99. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be able to save 10% on the DLCs.
Then we have Grounded, releasing on July 28. Shrunk down to the size of an ant, you and up to 4 of your friends will explore the familiar, yet oddly foreign environment of a backyard while trying not to get eaten. Everything that seemed to be tiny is now larger than life, and you will have to gather, build, and survive if you want to make it out of the backyard alive. Prepare to take on the yard in Grounded releasing on Xbox Game Preview, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam Early Access on July 28 for $29.99.
Last, but certainly not least, Obsidian will be returning to the epic fantasy world of Eora in the triple-A, first-person RPG, Avowed. We hope that you are all ready for what the team at Obsidian are creating for you and we’ll be showing more of Avowed later down the line.
