More puzzles, new achievements, quality of life improvements and more

Good news for puzzle games players! The recently released charming puzzler Long Ago: A Puzzle Tale will receive a hefty update soon.

A new Challenges campaign with 16 levels will be added, alongside 13 new achievements and new unlockable looks for the game ball. Xbox players will also be able to earn additional Gamerscore for unlocking the new achievements.

The quality of life improvements being introduced include: a quick level restart button, reduced gems requirements to unlock new campaign chapters, the possibility to replay chapter songs from the story book, the in-game achievements screen also accessible from the pause menu and other minor tweaks and improvements.

Lastly, the hint system has been slightly redesigned to help players earn more gems faster and even more so the players looking to earn three gems for all levels. When you finish a level, the hints bar will also be filled to match how many gems you’ve just earned – if not already filled past that level. For example, if you finish a level with two gems, the bar will instantly fill to the silver level. That means that on a replay, if you want to get hints about the three gems solution, you just need to wait a few minutes for the hints bar to charge to its fullest, instead of 10+ minutes you had to wait before.

The update is currently in development and will be released sometime later this month or in August.

Developed and published by GrimTalin, Long Ago: A Puzzle Tale is available on Nintendo Switch™, Xbox and Steam. It features 80 levels to solve in a set of relaxing ambiances, lots of mechanics to uncover as you progress and a fully voiced story told in rhyme.
