Headup has teamed up with Mixtvision and Monokel in order to bring their film noir platformer White Shadows to Xbox Series X.
White Shadows is a puzzle platformer set in a modern fable, a distorted mirror of our own world, funny, disturbed and meaningful. The protagonist, Ravengirl, has disregarded the rules as she attempts to escape the plague. Her escape will bring her to deeper parts of the city.
The game features escape sequences which alternates between puzzles and classic platformer elements. It features 2D gameplay set in a 3D world with breathtaking scenery.
White Shadows purposefully takes inspiration from George Orwell’s Animal Farm as the dark world is full of enslaved animal creatures deals with deeply ingrained civic issues such as social injustice, racism as well as a ruling class that tries to maintain its power through false reports, lies and violence after a worldwide catastrophe.
