Studio Wildcard’s co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz took the stage at IGN Live 2026 to unveil ARK Maker, a powerful new world-building mode that will allow both PC and console players to build, share, and experience their custom maps and gameplay creations.

With ARK Maker, you’ll be able to edit existing maps, create entirely new ones, place and modify actors, create reusable templates, edit properties, adjust world settings, add and configure volumes and spawners, apply mods and skin packs, and write functional Lua scripts in-game using a Blueprint API.

ARK Maker is built to put world building in more players’ hands, making it easier to shape custom server playgrounds, community-built adventures, visual showcases, experimental game modes, and entirely new ways to play across the ARK.

Creations made with ARK Maker are planned to be shareable through the Mod Browser, letting other players download, explore, and play what you build. Whether you’re crafting a map for your tribe, designing a custom experience for your server, or just seeing how far your imagination can push the ARK, ARK Maker is built to put worldbuilding in more players’ hands.

ARK Maker is currently planned to release in Q3 2026.
