Football fever is taking over Rematch. Video game developer Sloclap has officially announced the launch of Season 4, bringing a massive summer-themed “Nations Cup” event to the multiplayer sports title starting tomorrow, June 11.
The update introduces a highly anticipated timed tournament, exclusive customisation rewards, and a suite of gameplay enhancements designed to deepen the on-pitch experience.
The Nations Cup Tournament
Running from June 11 through July 23, the Rematch Nations Cup will allow players to pledge allegiance to one of 32 different countries. Competitors can squad up to participate in fast-paced matches where national pride is on the line. As players progress and win different event phases throughout the tournament, they will earn bonus Pass tokens to help speed up their seasonal progression.
To incentivize participation, Sloclap is rewarding players the moment they select their country. Choosing a nation instantly unlocks a full national profile customization set, including a flag-themed background, banner, avatar, and title. Players will also receive a free Nations Cup Augmented Reality (AR) field effect to help set the stage for their matches.
Additionally, a free welcome bundle will be available to all players in the in-game store, featuring a custom Victory Mood, a beard, a haircut, and two avatars.
The Captain Pass and Premium Kits
Season 4 introduces the all-new “Captain Pass,” which is entirely themed around the Nations Cup. Sloclap states that the pass has been tuned for accessible progression; the new Olympus Stadium AR field effect can be unlocked in under two hours of casual play. Meanwhile, the ultimate Tier 100 reward—the prestigious Championship Ring—awaits the game’s most dedicated players.
For players looking to further customize their characters, the update introduces four premium Rematch National Kits. These items offer a stylized reimagining of the kits for France, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States, blending national colours with Rematch’s distinct visual identity.
Gameplay and Quality-of-Life Upgrades
Beyond the seasonal event, Season 4 delivers several mechanical updates aimed at improving the core gameplay loop.
