Developer Italic Pig has launched its final major update for Paleo Pines. Rolling out across platforms today this massive quality-of-life and content update delivers on highly anticipated community-voted features, including advanced dinosaur tracking, expanded ranch customisation and helpful new dinosaur behaviours.

Key Features of this release:

Ultimate Dino Tracking: A brand-new dinosaur ‘skin tracker’ has been added to the journal. Players can now track specific colour combinations. The next time a dinosaur of that rarity spawns, it is guaranteed to be the exact one the player is hunting for.

Mari’s Upgraded Records: Mari’s dinosaur records now feature a search box and rarity filtering, alongside a new option to permanently erase a dinosaur from the archives.

Saddlebags: Large dinos can now carry 2–4 items, while small dinos can carry two items back to the ranch from anywhere.

Automated Foraging: Small dinos will now automatically collect nearby wild collectables and carry them for the player.

Ranch Maintenance: Small dinos can be assigned to composters to pick up poop automatically. Clearers can also now clear poop from the ranch.

Fresh Agriculture & Cuisine: Ranchers can look forward to planting Meadowstar, Fiddlehead Fern, Rainbow Trees, and Rainbow Cacao Trees, as well as whipping up new recipes like Bean Surprise and Rainbow Cake.

Expanded Customisation & Decor: The update introduces a poignant new Memorial Garden area and new carvings to Dapplewood. Players can also spruce up their ranch with a Stegosaurus plushie, Postosuchus statue, a fossil wall, and vibrant new Rainbow and Selkie ranch house colors.

Quality-of-Life Upgrades: Exploration is made easier with a new compass item, an inventory auto-sort button, a journal option to skip to the next time of day, town board quest cancellation, and a sprint control toggle. Additionally, sprint speeds for several species have been adjusted, and wood rewards have been boosted.

Here’s what the devs had to say on the update:

“The day has finally come to launch this final piece of the Players’ Choice puzzle,” said Aimee, speaking on behalf of the Paleo Pines team. “We are incredibly grateful to our community and our Dino Designers who helped shape this update. We can’t wait to see everyone exploring the new features, decorating their ranches, and showing off their screenshots!”
