Indie publisher Kinetic Publishing and developer Electric Saint have officially announced that Crescent County—a “cosy-with-bite” slice-of-life game about driving, dating, and navigating the messy reality of your early 20s—is coming to Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2027.
Revealed during the inaugural Kinetic Publishing Showcase, the title puts players in the shoes of Lu, a chaotic young adult who moves to the magical, crescent-shaped Isle of Mor. By day, Lu works as a courier delivering parcels; by night, she takes to her motorbroom as a street racer.
Crescent County aims to capture the universal experience of starting over in a new place as a young adult. Described as a fusion of Kiki’s Delivery Service and the iconic high-speed bikes of Akira, the gameplay blends relaxed island exploration with blood-pumping motorbroom driving.
Between parcel runs and races, players will find themselves herding sheep, fixing local leylines, diving headfirst into local gossip, and dating their friends.
Visually and stylistically, the game takes cues from sunset-soaked coming-of-age titles like Night in the Woods and Life is Strange, roller derby subculture, and distinct indie hits like Sable, Dredge, and OlliOlli World.
