Publisher IMGN.PRO and developer The End of the Sun Forge has announced that The End of the Sun will launch on Xbox Series X|S on November 4, 2026.
The Xbox announcement trailer introduces a world where everyday village life intertwines with ancient beliefs and supernatural events.
In The End of the Sun, players take on the role of an ashter, a Slavic priest with the ability to travel through time. Arriving in a mysterious village, they uncover the stories of its inhabitants, following their lives through different seasons and across generations.
Exploration lies at the heart of the adventure. Returning to familiar places at different points in time reveals new perspectives on past events, connecting personal stories with traditional rituals and creatures from Slavic mythology.
Created over eight years by a two-person Polish team, The End of the Sun draws on research into regional traditions and material culture. Using photogrammetry, the developers recreated real buildings and historical objects, bringing the details of rural life into the game’s world.
The End of the Sun arrives on Xbox Series X|S on November 4, 2026, priced at $24.99 / €23.99 / £18.74. A 20% launch discount will be available for the first week following release.
