Independent developer Feel Free Games has announced that its breakout cosy adventure hit, Luma Island, is officially launching on Xbox Series X|S on December 2.
Following a successful PC run that racked up over 800,000 copies sold and a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam, the console release will arrive content-complete, featuring the massive Pirate Cove update. Alongside the console debut, the game is introducing cross-platform co-op play, allowing groups of up to four players to farm, craft, and explore together seamlessly across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Farm, Explore, and Uncover Ancient Secrets
Designed for players seeking relaxation combined with a sense of adventure, Luma Island departs from standard homesteading chores by removing restrictive elements like stamina meters and inventory caps. Players can explore lush forests, misty mountains, treacherous caves, and ancient puzzle-laden temples at their own pace.
Key features include:
-
4-Player Cross-Platform Co-Op: Play solo or team up with up to three friends with day-one cross-play across PC and consoles.
-
Magical Luma Companions: Discover mysterious eggs hidden throughout the world to hatch adorable Lumas that assist on your journey and help sniff out secret treasures.
-
Specialized Callings: Master professions such as Archaeologist, Blacksmith, Brewer, Cook, Fisherman, Jeweler, Shipwright, and Treasure Hunter, each unlocking unique recipes, tools, and resources.
-
Tailored Gameplay Modes: Choose your preferred style with three dedicated modes: Cozy (peaceful exploration with optional combat), Adventure (a balanced mix of action and discovery), and Hero (a tougher challenge for seasoned explorers).
