Creative-first publisher and developer Mega Cat Studios today announced that Lethal Wedding is taking part in Steam Next Fest October Edition, running now through October 2026. During the festival, players can download a free demo for an early taste of this brutal love letter to Zombies Ate My Neighbors, ahead of its full release on Steam and the Sega Genesis in early 2027.
The Lethal Wedding demo lets players lock and load as the badass bride Joanna and her heavily armed mother-in-law in single-player, or team up with a friend for co-op carnage as they blast through strip clubs, shopping malls, and more on a mission to save their groom-to-be from a cartel of killer clowns. Wield outrageous wedding-themed weapons, including SMGs, explosive balloon animals, bridal bouquet mines, and more, as you battle a battalion of big-top brutes like deadly knife throwers, unhinged unicyclists, bazooka-toting bearded ladies, and a clown car full of the circus’s worst criminals.
The current build uploaded to Steam is an early version that does not have our gore and blood assets implemented yet, nor all the adjustments we’ve talked about in previous updates. Once the full game launches, the pixelated blood effects, flying limbs, and gameplay tweaks will be active immediately from the very first level during standard combat encounters.
