Everything is a little quiet on the gaming front at the moment with nothing really coming from the Playstation or Nintendo camp. With June fast approaching, I’d hazard a guess that most of the industry wants to save any juicy news for their respective shows. That said, there are some dribs and drabs coming, here are some bits that you may have missed from last week.

Xbox

  • Xbox has announced plans to reduce the minimum requirements for indie developers to publish their games in disc format as part of the ID@Xbox program
  • The Redfall team are working on a solution so that players can play the game offline if they wish
  • Sea Of Thieves Voyage Of A Lifetime is now available for viewing
  • Rare is supporting Sea Of Thieves for another five years
  • MLB The Show 23 coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 28th 2023
  • Infinite Guitars coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 30th 2023

Sales Figures

  • Atomic Heart reached 5 million players in three weeks
  • Sonic Frontiers has shipped 3 million copies
  • Code Vein has sold 3 million copies worldwide
  • Subway Surfers on mobile has surpassed 4 billion downloads
  • Control sold 3.6 million copies but has served over 16.5 million players through subscription services and has generated £92 million in revenue
