Ahead of its launch next week, publisher 505 Games and developer Remedy Entertainment have released the launch trailer for Control.

The trailer showcases the mysterious Oldest House where players will be faced with a difficult challange as the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, Jesse Faden. Control is a third-person action-adventure game set in an ever-changing world where reality meets the unexplainable.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the game:

After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, players will take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain Control. This sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience built on the proprietary Northlight engine challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for.

UK players attending Insomnia65 in Birmingham will be able to get their hands on the game between Friday, Aug. 23 – Monday, Aug. 26. North American players will have the chance to play it during PAX West in Seattle from Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2 in the 505 booth (#425), the Discord booth (#2109) and the Sony America booth.

Control releases on 27th August.

  1. This looks really good, although it looks like quite the copy of Quantum Break, which never quite made it, unfortunately, because I thought they concept was good in theory! But just like Arkham Knight on PC, it arrived broken and therefore left players like myself frustrated! I will probably buy this when it’s cheaper or maybe it will come to Xbox Game Pass
