Developer Pearl Abyss has confirmed that cross-play support is now available for Black Desert on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Players on either console can join forces in the open-world MMORPG with future cross-play events planned.

On Sunday 8th March there will be cross-play servers launched for Conquest and Node Wars, while an in-game event for new and existing users will also be taking place to celebrate the addition of cross-play. Throughout the event, you’ll be able to acquire the powerful” Cliff and Awakening weapon boxes via the completion of special quests. These weapons can be exchanged for Gold.

Additionally, special rewards like Vlak’s Cry and Memory Fragments can also be acquired by tracking down the relevant treasure chests in the sea.

Further cross-play events are planned for Black Desert, while discounts on the game and pearls currency are on offer too, with Xbox One users able to get 50% off Black Desert itself, and 20% off pearls until 16th March.
