Destiny 2: Shadowkeep tasks Guardians to return to our moon, which has been altered and haunted due to our past. New Nightmares have emerged from the shadows of our forgotten Moon. Help Eris fight these darl forces to reclaim back the moon.

The expansions looks to add new missions and quests, a new destination and dungeon plus raid season oass for Season of the Undying. As well as shiny new armor and gear to earn.

Bungie will also be introducing a free to play model with Destiny 2: New Light which lets new players play the game for free without committing. It sounds like a good move to get a larger player base particularly as free to play is popular.
